We now call Tennessee home—and we’re proud to be raising our family here. It’s a place full of strength, resilience, and community, and we’re grateful to be part of it.
In 2022, we were blessed with our son Owen—our handsome, smart, and energetic little boy who quickly became the center of our world.
As Owen grew, we began to notice he needed some extra support, especially with speech. At the time, he was nonverbal. Like many parents, we had questions—lots of them. We spoke with his pediatrician again and again, sharing concerns and searching for answers. Eventually, we were referred to a developmental pediatrician for further evaluation.
But at the time, while we were living in South Carolina, the waitlist was nearly 18 months.
As parents, that didn’t just feel long—it felt impossible.
After nearly a year of searching, we were finally able to connect with BabyNet. We are incredibly grateful for the support and care they provided. However, as many families know, those services end when a child turns three—and Owen was quickly approaching that age.
We knew we couldn’t afford to wait any longer. We had to keep pushing forward.
So we took matters into our own hands, searching for therapies and resources that could help Owen now—not months or years down the road.
One day, during a visit to a therapy center called Now We Are Talking, we shared our story while checking in. An office manager overheard the conversation and asked a simple question:
"Have you heard of the Lowcountry Autism Foundation?"
We hadn’t.
She explained that the Lowcountry Autism Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families affected by autism. Through advocacy, resources, and financial assistance—all provided at no cost—they help families access critical therapies without being held back by long waitlists or financial barriers.
Without hesitation, she reached out on our behalf.
Within a week, we had an appointment.
Within a month, Owen was seen by a developmental pediatrician—something we had been waiting and hoping for for so long.
That moment changed everything.
It showed us what’s possible when a community steps in and says, “We’ve got you.”
That experience is what inspired us to create Owen’s Outriders.
Because no family should feel alone.
No parent should feel stuck waiting while their child needs help.
And no child should go without the support they deserve.
Now based in Tennessee, Owen’s Outriders is committed to building that same kind of support—right here in our community and beyond. We’re here to advocate, to connect, and to help families find real solutions when they need them most.
Because every child deserves a chance—and every family deserves support along the way.

Owen’s Outriders is a community of riders, families, and supporters who come together to embrace, support, love, and accept individuals with autism.
At the heart of this movement is a very personal story. Owen is our son—an amazing young boy on the autism spectrum whose joy, spirit, and determination inspire us every single day. What began as a simple way to show support for Owen and others like him has grown into something much bigger: a movement where people from all walks of life come together to raise awareness, promote inclusion, and celebrate the unique strengths of those on the spectrum.
Through organized rides, community events, outreach efforts, and the sharing of our message through branded merchandise, Owen’s Outriders works to build real connections between the autism community and the world around it. Every shirt worn, every sticker placed, and every mile ridden helps spark conversations, spread awareness, and fund programs that make a difference.
Our members—whether they ride motorcycles, volunteer their time, support through donations, or simply stand beside us—are united by one mission: to create a world where individuals with autism are fully embraced for who they are, and where families never feel alone on their journey.
Now based in Tennessee, Owen’s Outriders is committed to growing that mission even further—building a strong, supportive community locally while continuing to reach families wherever help is needed. Every ride we take, every event we host, and every dollar raised carries a deeper purpose: to remind families that support is out there and that they are not alone.
We ride for Owen.
We ride for every child and adult on the spectrum.
We ride for a more understanding, compassionate world.
